Italian energy giant Eni has officially confirmed a significant natural gas discovery in the Mediterranean waters off the coast of Libya, marking a pivotal moment for the region’s energy landscape. Preliminary evaluations indicate that the discovery holds more than 1 trillion cubic feet of gas, a volume that could substantially bolster Libya’s export capacity while securing critical supplies for the European market.
